Group Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Why organize a private group?
You are able to design a customized itinerary to specifically fit the interests of your group and their budget. Everything from airfare, hotel accommodation and sightseeing are arranged by one of our group experts. A private guide will help your group delve into the history and culture of your destinations.

What's the advantage of booking as a group, instead of individually?
Full payment is not required up-front when booking a group. We are able to block both airline space and hotel rooms with an estimated number of travelers allowing you time to gather trip participants, while knowing you have confirmed space.

How do I begin the reservation process?
A $500 non-refundable deposit, and a $100 per seat airline deposit, allows us to begin securing space on your behalf and to hold the airline reservation. Final payment is not due until 60 days prior to your departure, providing you with the greatest possible time to organize your group. For more in-depth details, read our
Terms & Conditions.

What are acceptable forms of payment?
BMIT accepts checks and the following credit cards: VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Do you offer net or commissionable pricing?
We offer net pricing, giving you the flexibility to determine your own profit margin. For more in-depth information on how rates are quoted please read our
Terms & Conditions.

How many people do I need for a group?
A minimum of 10 people are required for group travel. The more people in your group, the lower the price will be per person.

Will my group get the lowest prices?
Customizing a group vacation with BMIT is the perfect way to get the vacation your clients want at a competitive price. We have extensive international contracts and experience negotiating special rates with vendors around the world. Remember, the more people in your group the lower the price will be per person, as the motor coach price is divided among all group members.

How far in advance do I need to book my group?
It is never too early to begin planning in order to obtain the best air and hotel availability, as well as giving you lots of time to sell the trip. Last minute travel is also possible, so please call us to discuss the details. If you plan to travel within 60 days of your travel date, it is best to have your group already organized and payments collected as final payment will be due upon confirmation of arrangements.

Can the airfare change?
Your $100 per seat deposit will hold airline reservations and guarantee your base fare until 90 days prior to departure, tax and fuel are subject to change until paid in full and tickets are issued.

Could I be subject to baggage charges?
Yes, airline-imposed baggage fees may apply and are due at the airport; please consult your airline prior to departure for the latest fees.

Because of changes in restrictions and security concerns, individual carriers on Intra-European flights can have different baggage restrictions than trans-Atlantic carriers. Intra-European flights tend to be more restrictive on baggage weight and luggage size than transatlantic flight guidelines and could result in excess baggage charges.

In order to make your flights as pleasant as possible, it is important that you check each carrier's baggage restrictions prior to flying.

What if I have to cancel my trip?
Cancellation deadlines often vary by airline and land contract. Rest assured that you will be provided with a clear set of cancellation deadlines so that you can manage these events. Please see Terms & Conditions for more information. We strongly suggest that your group members purchase Travel Insurance which covers most eventualities.

Do you offer Travel Insurance?
Yes. We offer trip cancellation and interruption insurance on all of our programs. For more information on our insurance, please click here.

Do I need a passport or a visa to travel?
All BMIT destinations require your client to have a valid passport. Their passport should be valid for at least six months after the date of travel. In addition, there are some destinations that require a visa for U.S. citizens. Some visas can be obtained on arrival at the airport; for others it is necessary to obtain a visa prior to departure from the U.S. It is the group's responsibility to obtain the appropriate visas.

* All airline related taxes and fuel surcharges are included. Prices are per person, based on double occupancy, and are subject to change prior to purchase. Some foreign authorities require fees at arrival or departure that must be collected directly from the passengers at the airport. Airline-imposed baggage fees may apply and be due at the airport; please consult your airline prior to departure for the latest fees.
