Day 1: Depart USA
  • Board your transatlantic flight to Greece. Relax and enjoy the in-flight meal service and on-board entertainment.

  • Day 2: Arrive Athens
  • Upon arrival at the Athens airport, collect your luggage and proceed to the arrivals hall. A representative will be there to meet you and assist with transfers, if purchased, to your Athens hotel. The balance of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

  • Day 3: Athens
  • This morning we will tour the amazing city of Athens, which has thrived for over 25 centuries. We will view landmarks such as the Arch of Hadrian and the Temple of Zeus, built over a span of 700 years. We will visit the iconic Acropolis, and its crown, the Parthenon, dedicated to the patron goddess of the city. The afternoon will be yours to enjoy. (B)

  • Day 4: Athens
  • Today you have a free day to explore this fascinating city on your own. Or, you may choose one of our optional tours – either to Delphi or Argolis. (B)

  • Day 5: Cruising/Mykonos
  • After breakfast you will be transferred to the port of Piraeus to begin our cruise of the fabulous Greek Islands. Our first stop will be Mykonos, where whitewashed buildings seem ready to tumble gracefully down the hillsides into the deep blue of the Aegean Sea. You’ll have the afternoon to explore on your own before re-boarding our cruise ship as we set sail for Kusadasi. (B) (L) (D)

  • Day 6: Kusadasi/Patmos
  • This morning our ship docks in Kusadasi, Turkey, the site of Ephesus. Optional tours are available to visit the ruins of this ancient city, perhaps founded by the ancient Amazons. Or you may choose to visit the house of the Virgin Mary, or stroll through the town on your own to visit many shops and restaurants. We then continue on to the Island of Patmos, site of the Monastery of St. John the Divine, where you may visit the grotto where St. John received the Revelation as described in the last book of the New Testament. Our ship sets sail in early evening on our way to Rhodes. (B) (L) (D)

  • Day 7: Rhodes
  • We will enjoy a full day on this “island of roses” known as Rhodes. You may choose a leisurely stroll through the medieval old town, or perhaps a visit to the stupendous acropolis which dominates Lindos. One way to reach the top is by donkey! Once there you will admire the 4th century BC Doric temple, a Byzantine Church, and the ruins of ancient fortifications. At the bottom of the hill is St. Paul’s Bay, where the Apostle Paul landed in 51 AD. Our ship departs this evening for Crete. (B) (L) (D)

  • Day 8: Heraklion/Santorini
  • This morning we dock in Heraklion, Crete; the land of King Minos. The abrupt end of the Minoan civilization in 1450 BC may have been caused by a tsunami created by a volcanic eruption nearby. You may choose an optional tour to visit the Palace of Knossos, decorated with amazing frescoes! This afternoon we set sail to Santorini, an island perched on the rim on an ancient volcano - which is believed by many to be above the site of the Lost Continent of Atlantis. Santorini is considered to be one of the most stunning landscapes in the world and will delight you during your visit. (B) (L) (D)

  • Day 9: Cruise/Piraeus/Athens airport to US
  • Our ship has an early morning arrival into the port of Piraeus. We disembark after breakfast and transfer, if purchased to the Athens airport for our flight to the USA, arriving home the same day. (B)
