Castles & Manors
Day 1: Arrival in Dublin
  • Upon arriving in the Emerald Isle, you proceed through customs and to the arrivals area where you will be met and transferred to your downtown Dublin hotel. If your room is not ready to check into, drop off your bags and go out to explore Ireland’s capital city the home of Guinness, Bono from the band U2 and Molly Malone, Dublin’s most famous fish monger.

  • Day 2: Free Day in Dublin to explore
  • There are many sights to explore today in this fine city, you could start by taking an open top bus hop on hop off sightseeing tour. This includes 23 stops at some of Dublin’s most famous and historic sights such as Trinity College, Writers Museum, Guinness Storehouse and much more. Stroll along Grafton Street and enjoy some of Dublin’s finest shopping. Stop in Temple Bar for a little Irish music and a pint.

  • Day 3: Into the West
  • This morning we bid farewell to Dublin and take our cross country route to the wild west of Connemara in County Galway. Along the way you could stop in Knock, Ireland’s most visited pilgrimage site, or at the National Museum of Country Life in Castlebar where you discover how the Irish lived in years gone by. Your final destination is a beautiful 4 star Castle nestled in the rugged countryside of Connemara, overlooking the quaint village of Clifden.

  • Day 4: Connemara
  • You have a number of options today. Take a drive out to Cong and visit the cottage where the “Quiet Man” movie was made with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. You will visit places that have not changed in hundreds of years. Take a cruise on Killary Harbor, Ireland’s only fjord. From Rossaveal you can take a ferry out to the Aran Islands where time truly does stand still. Where ever you go, it will be memorable.

  • Day 5: Cliffs of Moher and Killarney
  • This morning stop in Galway, the City of Tribes on your way south to Killarney. On route stop and go back in time with a visit to the Bunratty Folk Park, view the mighty Cliffs of Moher and explore the amazing plant life at the Burren. Perhaps take the Kilmer-Tarbert car ferry and cross the Shannon River from Clare to Kerry. Your final destination in Killarney is one of the finest Manor houses in Ireland, Cahernane House, located just outside the town. Enjoy living like Lords & Ladies.

  • Day 6: Exploring Kerry
  • Killarney is a lively town with lots of wonderful restaurants, pubs and shops. You will find great food, fun and Irish music. From the town you can take a drive along one of Ireland’s most scenic landscapes “The Ring of Kerry”. You can also explore the beautiful and rugged peninsula of Dingle. Other wonderful sights include Muckross House and Gardens, Ross Castle and lots more.

  • Day 7: Charming Villages
  • Today you depart the beautiful Kingdom of Kerry and travel south to gain the gift of the Gab by kissing the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle. You then continue back up north through Macroom and through some of Ireland’s finest dairy farming country, called the Golden Vale. You arrive at your final destination, the quaint village of Adare. Here you can saunter through the quirky little gift shops and see some of Ireland’s finest thatched cottages.

  • Day 8: Bid Farewell
  • Today you drive to Shannon airport to catch your return flight to the US, bringing with you memories of a lifetime.

  • Notes
    Car rental is based on a strict 24 hour consecutive period. The lead person named on the reservation must be the main driver, present at time of rental and payer of any additional charges with a minimum age of 25 years except for Luxury and Prestige vehicle groups which the minimum age is strictly 30 years old. A major credit card in the main driver's name is required for pickup of the vehicle as a car return guarantee. An authorization is obtained on your credit card based on the estimated rental charges; there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges. Additional driver’s fee is charged locally at time of car pickup. All drivers must present a valid USA driver's license held for a minimum of one year at the time of rental. Theft protection is included and additional insurance, such as Collision Damage Waiver and Personal Accident Insurance, is available at time of car pickup and is paid locally. Government tax (VAT) at the rate of 17.5% is included. A Vehicle Licensee Fee (VLF) apply to all rentals and a Location Service Charge will apply to all rentals with pick-up in airport/railway station or some downtown locations which are payable locally upon pick-up. Rentals will be charged an administration fee in case of traffic fines. Rates do not include fuel. All Hertz vehicles are rented with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with full tank of fuel or a local refueling charge will apply. Child seats are available on request from all locations. Luggage racks are currently not offered. Additional charges for one way rentals are based on location restrictions and the vehicle type being rented. Vehicles rented from the United Kingdom may be driven to/from the Isle of Wight, the Orkney Isles and from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland with an extra charge for Premium, Luxury, Special and Automatic Van car groups to be paid locally. Driving to/from the Isle of Man, Guernsey or Jersey is prohibited. For round trip rentals from mainland UK to Continental Europe or Ireland, an additional surcharge will apply which includes RAC Continental Breakdown Coverage to be paid locally. Vehicles can only be driven into E.U. countries: Austria, France, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Finland, Italy, United Kingdom and Portugal as well as Norway and Switzerland.


     

    * Not Included in the Vacation Price: Federal inspection fees for the Federal U.S. Customs and Immigrations; International Air Transportation tax; agricultural tax; other per person taxes imposed by government entities; airport taxes and fees including the September 11th Security fee up to $10 per person, Passenger facility charges up to $18 per person, Federal domestic flight segment fees up to $3.50 per segment and U.S. and International arrival and departure, and other government imposed fees up to $300 per person.
